Qualified Instructor: Professional Standards
Lee Lansford, IFA, is qualified by the national Appraisal Qualifications Board as a Certified Instructor of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (or, USPAP). Quoting from the Preamble of the USPAP: Appraisals completed by licensed appraisers in Illinois are obligated to comply with the requirements of the USPAP. Given this requirement, Mr. Lansford is particularly well-versed in the development and communication of appraisals that comply with professional standards of practice! “The purpose of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) is to promote and maintain a high level of public trust in appraisal practice by establishing requirements for appraisers. It is essential that appraisers develop and communicate their analyses, opinions, and conclusions to intended users of their services in a manner that is meaningful and not misleading. The AppraisalStandards Board promulgates USPAP for both appraisers and users of appraisal services.
